Hi there! I am Amanda Abernethy, a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. (License No. I.2102895). I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from West Virginia University. I have over 10 years clinical experience in a variety of settings, serving a multitude of clients on the inpatient and outpatient levels. I am also Gottman trained and love helping couples navigate conflict.

My approach to counseling includes cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, existential, and person-centered therapies to help guide and motivate you to live YOUR best life. I have specific training and expertise in trauma-related circumstances, advocacy and activism.

As a wife, mother, and woman, I have a special interest in families, couples, and children; as well as individuals who grapple with day-to-day struggles that so often bog us down and prevent us from living the life we desire.
